For a long time I have wanted to share the love God has for me with other women. I have always thought that if women only knew just how much God loved us, so much would begin to change within us. More specifically I wanted to share the knowledge of His healing power and how He can be all that we need in our lives. I have experienced God taking away hurt and pain so deep that I thought I would never rid of it. God really has graced me with His love and mercy, I want other women to be able to experience His love and healing power too.
Women all over the world are hurting. Most from past experiences. The pain runs so deep they have changed during their lives and have become bitter, angry, resentful, insecure, hateful, unpleasant, people pleasers, depressed and so much more and they don't really know why. Some are filled with shame and self-doubt, not knowing which way is up. They have the desire to be healed but look everywhere but up for their healing. They turn to drugs, sex, men, medication, doctors, friends, and while these things seem to help, they don't last. The cycle of hurt and pain starts all over again, running deeper each time.
I believe that so many women are searching for answers but aren't sure how to get them. Some know that the answers are in the hands of our Heavenly Father but are too ashamed to turn to Him. Others may have the wrong image of God and are afraid. For some they just don't believe God can heal them.
The enemy certainly doesn't want us to be free and he seeks to destroy us. I believe one way the enemy attacks women is by keeping them silent. He fills us with shame so we don't speak of the hurt that is festering on the inside of us. The longer he can keep us silent the longer he can keep us in bondage.
I know for me I kept silent and walked around with hurt too ashamed to say anything. I must have done something wrong to deserve the pain that I felt. When I did speak it was never validated and I was treated as if it were made up in my mind. I was made to think it really wasn't as bad as it was. I really felt I was supposed to just get over it and move on. The hurt and pain turned into bitterness and resentment. I somehow had changed and wasn't sure why. I began to hide away from God believing I was then unworthy of His love. This was nothing but the enemy. I was being attacked and didn't even know it. I lived life according to how I felt and didn't operate on what I knew to be true.
The journey of healing began for me when I realized that God wasn't just going to take away the pain. I had to be willing to release it to Him. When I did, I was able to confess my unforgiveness, resentment and bitterness. I could go to Him in complete honesty and not feel condemned.
I also began to look at Jesus as my example and not just my Savior. He too experienced hurt and pain, but He didn't let that stop Him. He kept an attitude of forgiveness. He was willing to let God use Him. He went all the way to the cross and died- The enemy thought he had won, but Jesus rose from the grave giving Him the VICTORY. I knew that I could look to Him not only to get me through, but lead me through. Because He knew the way. I began to rely on and trust in Him knowing that he would never let me fall. There were and are still times when I have felt so heavy and burdened I didn't think I would be able to make it. It is in those moments that it felt as if He literally took my hand and stood beside me and we began to walk together. I wasn't alone, He was right there with me, not only guiding me, but walking with me.
That's the God I want you to experience. I want you to know that God can heal you too, no matter where the hurt may stem from. I want you to know that He has a plan and a purpose for your life, even the pain you have experienced. He wants to heal you so He can use you for His purpose. He can take what the enemy meant for your destruction and turn it around for your good.
There is no magic wand He waves to take it all away. There's no 5 step program to follow or a spell to say. It is a process and a journey. He took 7 days to create the earth and everything in it. He wants to take the time with you too, just so He can show you who He is and who He created you to be.
I am asking you to join me on this journey. Remember this is a process. We won't get there overnight. But I believe the key is to keep moving forward. God promises to bring healing. He wants to heal you, let him heal you. Together we will begin to discover just how loving and faithful He is. I pray that you will go with me on the path to total healing.
LET HIM HEAL YOU, SO HE CAN USE YOU!
